ECAB Research Project - 4th Partners' Meeting

Background information

The "Evaluating care across borders" project is a EU-funded research project looking into various issues relating to cross-border care in Europe, identified as follows:

  • Healthcare professionals - Work Package 1
  • Treatment pathways WP2
  • Medical records WP3
  • Prescriptions and Medicines WP4
  • Patient choice and public reporting WP5
  • Long-term care WP6
  • Hospital collaborations WP7
  • Telemedicine and eHealth WP8
  • Dentistry WP9
  • Media reporting of quality of care WP10

Purpose of the meeting

The 4th meeting of project's partners was organised in Berlin on 24th and 25th May 2012 with a view to:

  • give an overview of the progress of the ECAB project and discuss management, milestones and deliverables
  • review substantive progress on individual work packages
  • discuss scope, framework and methodology to be used on WP11 assessment of scale and WP12 policy recommendations
  • review dissemination strategy and agree on details for specific dissemination of deliverables i.e. policy briefs and workshops

The UEMS was invited to contribute to this project through the Users' Advisory Board. In this regards, it was asked for increased collaboration in collecting and analysing data in some of the key work packages of the project.
