It is a testament to the vision and dedication of the UEMS and our partners, and an invitation to shape the next chapter of specialist medical care together.

Call for Abstracts
The UEMS Congress 2026 will be more than a conference.
It is a community of medical specialists coming together to learn from one another and to build a stronger future for healthcare in Europe.
We invite specialist, trainee, researcher, or educator to contribute to this historic event by submitting an abstract.
Showcase your research, share your expertise, and be part of the dialogues that will define the next era of European healthcare, in the themes of our plenary or scientific & thematic sessions.

Over the course of four dynamic days, and through original sessions, the 1st UEMS Congress will explore key themes such as:
- European health: connectivity and inter-dependance of healthcare systems within Europe and between Europe and the rest of the world
- AI/ Machine learning: how to educate and train medical students, trainee doctors and specialists for the new inevitable realities
- European medical workforce: planning, make medicine attractive, sustain and support the workforce, respect, prepare for tough realities in the future
- European health/ healthcare systems in crisis: new pandemics, naturals disasters, terror attacks, war
- AI & ethics: dilemmas of modern practice, AI, telemedicine…
- UEMS and the world: global collaboration, CME/CPD beyond Europe,…
- Green & sustainable practice: reducing carbon footprint, environmentally responsible healthcare
- Work-life balance: promoting wellbeing, addressing burnout
- Response to disasters: medical readiness and respons
- Mental health in the medical profession: supporting resilience, improving workplace mental health
