Further to the decision by the UEMS Council, the UEMS Executive has written to the European Committee on Standardisation (CEN) to indicate its strong opposition to the definition of medical standards in Aesthetic Surgery by the CEN, nor to any project aiming at creating any regulation or standard whatsoever related to any medical act, professional duties and/or obligations as well as training and CME-CPD for medical specialists.
