The European Certificate in Nephrology matures into the European Specialty Exam in Nephrology

After three successful sessions of the European Certificate in Nephrology (ECN) exam, the UEMS Renal Section is delighted to announce an exciting new development.

Following regulatory approval from the General Medical Council in the UK, a new unified exam in conjunction with the RCPUK Specialty Certificate Exam has been established. The new European Specialty Exam in nephrology (ESENeph) exam, which will replace the ECN will have similar curriculum, content and format to the ECN.

The application period for the new exam, which will be held on 26th February 2020, is between the 6th November 2019 and 4th December 2019. We would encourage all trainees in Nephrology to test their knowledge of the specialty by taking the exam, which is largely based around practical clinical issues.
