Save the date: Cologne Consensus Conference - 20-21.09.2013

Decision in CME/CPD accreditation

On 20th and 21st September 2013, under the aegis of the UEMS, the UEMS Section of Cardiology will organise a conference on CME/CPD aiming at addressing the issue of the quality in medical education. The Conference will be held at the Marriott Hotel, Johannisstraße 76–80, Cologne/Germany.

This year's conference will be held in cooperation with the European Board for Accreditation in Cardiology (EBAC), World Medical Association (WMA), Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), UEMS Cardiology Section, Ärztekammer Nordrhein, Deutschen Gesellschaft für Kardiologie (DGK), Marburger Bund and the Guidelines International Network (GIN).

The conference will notably focus on the quality of information made available through educational events and will explore the impact of accreditation on the improvement of the quality of CME/CPD events. Speakers already confirmed notably include Dr Edwin Borman, UEMS Secretary General, Prof. Reinhard Griebenow, President UEMS Cardiology Section, Dr Martin Balzan, President UEMS Pneumology Section, Dr Jean-Paul Jacques, President UEMS Gastroenterology Section, Prof. Murray Kopelow, President ACCME.
