Our objectives

UEMS focuses on three main aspects:

Specialty Representation & Standard setting
  • Promote the interests of each medical specialty
  • Define European Medical Standards in each medical specialty
  • Promote the highest standard of training at the European level
Advocacy
  • Policy recommendation on EU initiatives and legislation
  • Provide expertise to EU institution
  • Involvement in EU funded projects
  • Promote UEMS activities and policies
Specialist accreditation
  • EACCME: Develop quality evaluation of Live Educational Events and e-learning materials at the EU level
  • ECAMSQ: Ensure quality assessment of medical specialists' competence
  • EACQM: Enhance quality management in medical care
